Ubud is famous as the artistic and cultural heart of Bali, and is the perfect place for holiday makers with a desire to taste the real Bali. Visit the art museums to see traditional and modern painting. They are dotted all around the town. Ubud residents are warm and friendly and many are painters, dancers, musicians, and carvers.
The cool weather in the hills is perfect for nature walks in the paddy fields or the rain forest. The nearby monkey forest has a temple in the middle of the jungle, filled with swinging and scampering monkeys. Ubud Market is a delightful and colourful spot, with its bright, typically Balinese craft stalls.
Accommodation at Ananda Cottages is in one or two-storey bungalows with 80 Standard Double or Twin and Superior Double or Twin. Relax at the bar or swim and sunbathe at the natural spring-water swimming pool. Regular Yoga classes.
