Description

I am Joe, a young father, and together with my wife and son we live and work on my family farm on Mount Batur. As an experienced tour guide I love to show tourists around the beautiful sights I grew up in. I will pick you up at your accommodation in the morning, and our first destination is Kanto Lampo waterfall. 9:00 am - Kanto Lampo waterfall Besides this beautiful waterfall you will also see 'ogoh-ogoh'. Have you ever heard of it? Ogoh-ogoh is a giant statue usually made of lightweight materials like bamboo, paper, and cloth. I will explain more about it when we meet later. 10:30 am - Tibumana waterfall Tibumana waterfall offers a view of freely falling water into an exotic pool, which left me amazed and tempted to swim, but unfortunately, I can't swim. (sad face emoji) 11:30 am - Tukad Cepung Waterfall The name of this waterfall has a clear meaning. 'Tukad' means river, and 'cepung' is a term for a very steep valley, so Tukad Cepung waterfall is located in a steep valley. However, don't worry, the access road and stairs to Tukad Cepung waterfall are not as daunting as I described. 0:30 pm - Warung D'yoni This warung has a very natural and stunning forest view. My favorite menu here is chicken satay with crushed peanut sauce. Once, while awaiting our order, I experienced a moment of surprise when the floor seemed to sway, initially making me think there was an earthquake. However, I soon realized that it was caused by someone walking nearby, causing a slight movement in the floor. Its design specifically avoids permanent structures to preserve a natural and refreshing ambiance. Rest assured, everything is highly secure. 1:30 pm - Luwak Coffee Plantation A nice place to try various types of tea and coffee (A tip from me. Try the mangosteen tea, secretly my favorite. wink emoji) The highlight for most people is the Luwak coffee, famously known as the 'civet coffee'. Learn how a small mammal native to Indonesia, plays a unique role in crafting this exceptional brew. 2:30 pm - Tegalalang rice fields In Tegalalang, you'll be greeted by a sight of terraced rice fields, which, with their stepped appearance, may evoke thoughts of staircases. You can also enjoy the tall swings that give you the sensation of soaring above the green rice fields. Furthermore, nestled amidst the fields, lies a pond adorned with exquisite lotus blossoms, known as 'tunjung' in the Balinese language. In short, there are plenty of beautiful spots for Instagram-worthy photos. And I can assist you with this (remember? laughing emoji). 3:30 pm - Ride back to your accomodation After being able to show you various beautiful places, teach you a few things, and most importantly, share a lot of laughter, it's now time to take you back to your accommodation.
