Discover the finest works by Indonesian Masters such as Raden Saleh, Lempad, Affandi, Hendra, and Kobot. The collection comprises over 50 Indonesian artists, demonstrating the rich heritage and diversity of Indonesian art forms. Admire the works of Indo-European artists inspired by the Asian continent, especially Indonesia and Bali. Walk through the rooms dedicated to Italian, French, and Dutch creators such as Walter Spies, Miguel Covarrubias, Jean Le Mayeur, and Charles Sayers, amongst many others. Collected over 50 years by the two artists, this collection is one of the most complete of its kind worldwide. At the Legendary Western Artists Exhibition, admire the sculptures and woodcuts of Paul Gauguin, during his Tahiti period. See pieces by other notable figures such as Henri Rousseau, Henri Matisse, Auguste Rodin, Marvina Hoffmann, and Bernard Buffet, inspired by their time in Asia.
