Your local host has spent years dishing out authentic Indonesian cuisine in the best Indonesian restaurant in Tokyo, but then decided to return to their roots in beautiful, rural Sidemen in East Bali to teach travellers from all over the world the beauty of this cuisine through organic ingredients and age-old recipes. Following pick-up from your hotel, you will visit Klungkung Market, the second biggest market in Bali where you will experience local Balinese shopping. Trek through Sidemen's rice paddies with amazing views and hand pick your own vegetables from the organic farm before you start your cooking class. There will be no use of electricity and gas, which all adds to the incredible experience. You will also have a chance to swim in the river afterwards! Learn about the Balinese way of life and culture, and learn how to get maximum flavour and a large variety of dishes from very few but very fresh ingredients. Recipes will also be provided to let you bring these incredible flavours back home.
