Amanusa: luxury and serenity in Bali
Amanusa, within the 350ha Resort Enclave of Nusa Dua, features 35 thatched roof luxury suites. The colonnaded, open-air entrance hall is lined with baskets of white tuberoses. Within the marble-floored foyer is a large teak sculpture of scenes from the epic Hindu poem the Ramayana. Amanusa's 35 suites enjoy a sensuous tropical setting and offer complete privacy. Walkways connect the suites to guest facilities and offer easy access to the neighbouring hotels and sport centres.
Guests can while away their days at the Beach Club or the magnificent golf courses, walk or cycle through the tree-lined streets of Nusa Dua, enjoy the shopping and nightlife within Nusa Dua or the nearby holiday towns of Sanur, Legian, Seminyak or Kuta to the west.
The sparkling white beaches give access to shimmering blue waters where holiday makers can enjoy numerous water sports like diving and snorkelling, surfing, parasailing, surf skiing and much, much more. A variety of sailing craft, including a luxury sailing catamaran, can be chartered to visit Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida, just 20 km offshore.. This full-day excursion can include a lunchtime barbecue, exploration of the beach, as well as snorkelling, exploring the coral reefs and marine life around the islands or simple relaxation.
Just north of Nusa Dua is the narrow peninsula of Tanjung Benoa, with more activities, a fishing village and several temples to visit. From Benoa Harbour guests can take various boat trips. The Royal Bali Yacht Club is headquartered in Benoa Bay and offers yacht rentals and lessons on Lasers or Optimists, and a chance to crew or learn to sail in safe waters. Never a dull moment around this fabled resort.
