Description

Experience the joy of creating a special souvenir that you get to make yourself and enjoy forever with the guidance of a master artist in the field. The Sanctuary is by the river Balian next to the ocean in Lalanglinggah. This river is the cleanest, largest and most sacred in Bali. The workshop takes place in an Art Studio that was built 40 years ago to support the arts in Bali. It was originally a balinese dance school and artist center in West Bali. You will meet Shankari, the amazing artist behind all the mosaics in the house and you will learn every step that there is to create a mosaic table by yourself or with your partner. The number of people in the workshop depends on the number of people that show up that day. Either way you will get personal attention. Start by meeting your mentor and selecting your tiles. Develop your design before you apply any glue. Apply the glue and start putting in the tiles. You can get assistance at any point of the workshop. After your design is done there will be a break for afternoon tea where you can get balinese snacks and coffee, tea or juice while we wait for the glue to set. You will learn how to set the tile in grout (cement). And then it will be wrapped and you will get a carry-on bag to take with you. The dimensions of the table are 40x40cm with folding legs and when the product is finished it weighs 2kg. Components: unique handcut tiles, luxury golden teakwood, special formula glue and weatherproof plastic cement grout. The workshops start at 1pm until 5pm. We provide all materials and instructions. Afternoon tea includes a balinese snack and coffee, tea or juice.
