In the Dyeing Method, learn how to apply wax (malam) to the fabric using traditional tools. Dye the fabric by immersing it into color baths, and discover how colors interact with wax to create unique patterns. Experience the traditional batik dyeing process used for generations in Indonesia. This method produces rich, layered colors and classic batik designs. In the Brushing Method, apply colors directly onto the fabric using brushes. Create more modern, artistic, and free-style batik patterns.
