Description
This experience is designed for travelers who want to understand Balinese culture through real activities and village life, rather than rushed sightseeing. The day begins with a relaxed visit to Penglipuran Village, one of Bali’s best-preserved traditional villages. You will walk through the village environment together with a local host, listening to stories about daily life, community values, and traditions that are still practiced today. This part of the experience focuses on observation, conversation, and understanding the rhythm of village life. After exploring the village context, the experience continues with a simple batik activity led by a local artisan. During a session lasting around 1–1.5 hours, participants are introduced to the basic materials and tools used in traditional batik. With guidance from the artisan, you will try applying wax and follow a simple dyeing process using one color. Each participant works on a cotton fabric measuring approximately 40 × 40 cm and creates one simple batik piece as the final result. You will also see how the wax is removed to reveal the pattern before the finishing touches are applied. Light refreshments are provided during the activity, and participants receive a certificate of completion at the end. The entire experience flows as one connected cultural story, combining village life and traditional craftsmanship in a calm and meaningful way. It is not a technical course or a sightseeing tour, but a hands-on cultural experience suitable for beginners.Includes
