Discover one of Bali’s lesser-known sunrise viewpoints on this rewarding hike to Trunyan Hill, located on the eastern side of Lake Batur. This experience is ideal for nature lovers and adventurous travelers seeking a quieter, more authentic alternative to the popular Mount Batur trek. The journey begins early in the morning with hotel pickup, followed by a drive to the starting point. As you begin hiking under the stars, the peaceful atmosphere and cool mountain air set the tone for a memorable adventure. The trail gradually ascends along gentle slopes and open ridges, offering a moderate challenge suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. After approximately 2 hours of hiking, you’ll reach the summit of Trunyan Hill. As the sun rises, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Batur, Mount Batur, Mount Abang, and on clear days, even Mount Agung in the distance. The calm lake below, combined with golden sunrise colors, creates a truly magical moment—perfect for photography and quiet reflection.
