1. Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary Enjoy your guided walking tour at the Monkey Forest Ubud to see over 1.000 Bali Long Tail Macaques that lives in 12 hectares of forest. While walking in the lush forest, you will see the iconic dragon bridge, river canyon and monkey temple inside the forest area. 2. Tegallalang Rice Terrace Tegallalang rice terraces (also known as the Ceking terrace) uses Bali’s ancient Subak irrigation system, with rice paddies arranged in descending layers. Take your time to explore the terraces to see the fields at their greenest, visit in March, August or September. They're also green in December and February but are slippery due to the rainy season. This rice terrace is located north of Ubud. 3. Swing Valley Swing valley is your stairway to heaven. You can feel the wind in your hair and adrenaline running through your veins on this incredible swing. All you need is a dash of bravery and some posing skills. You have to experience it yourself to know how mesmerizing the valley view. 4. Holy Water Temple or Batuan Temple Tirta Empul is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese. 5. Tegenungan Waterfall Tegenungan waterfall is a beautiful natural waterfall located just a half-hour drive from Ubud. When the conditions are good, you can take a dip in the inviting pool at the base. For a bird's eye view of the falls, be sure to check out the viewpoint near the entrance. 6. Coffee, Tea and Bali Spices Agrotourism This agrotourism is the place to learn about Bali spices (how they grow in the nature) liike ginger, galangal, vanilla, ginseng, turmeric, pepper, etc. and also to try the best coffee in the world called Luwak coffee, also known as civet coffee, is a coffee that consists of partially digested coffee cherries, which have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. The cherries are fermented as they pass through a civet's intestines, and after being defecated with other fecal matter, they are collected.
