Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Mount Ijen on a thrilling overnight adventure from Banyuwangi City or Bali Island. This tour takes you deep into East Java’s volcanic landscapes, where you’ll witness the rare blue fire phenomenon, explore an active sulfur mine, and enjoy a stunning sunrise over the turquoise crater lake at 2,386 meters above sea level. Your journey begins in the evening from Bali or midnight from Banyuwangi, with transportation through scenic countryside and a ferry crossing from Bali to Java (approx. 1 hour). An experienced local guide will lead you on a memorable trek under the stars, offering insights into the region’s geology, culture, and history. Departure Times *From Banyuwangi: -23:00 PM-Pickup from your hotel, port, or meeting point. *From Bali: -Ubud, Tabanan, Canggu area : 18:00 PM -North Kuta, Legian, Seminyak area : 17:30 PM -Sanur, Sidemen area : 17:15 PM -South Kuta area : 17:00 PM -Padang Bai, Amed area : 16:30 PM -Lovina, Pemuteran, Munduk (North Bali) area : 19:45 – 21:00 PM *Note: Travel time from Bali to Ijen ranges from 1–3 hours depending on location, plus a 1-hour ferry crossing. Bali and Java have a 1-hour time difference. Tour Itinerary: *We’ll pick you up from your hotel, port or meeting point and begin the journey to Ijen Volcano by vehicle. *00:00 – 00:15 (Midnight) Medical check-up (required for entry) before continuing to Paltuding Basecamp. *01:00 – 01:15 PM Arrive at the basecamp. Briefing session with your guide and short rest. *01:45 PM Begin the trek to Mount Ijen (approx. 1.5 hours, moderate hike). *03:00 PM Reach the crater rim. If safe and approved by your guide, descend 900 meters into the crater to witness the blue fire—a rare natural phenomenon caused by ignited sulfuric gases. Important: Crater descent is only allowed under safe conditions and guide supervision. Not recommended for guests with asthma, heart conditions, or fear of heights. While at Ijen Crater, you’ll: -Witness the blue fire (if weather permitting). -Observe sulfur miners working by hand. -Learn about the volcano’s history and geology. -Enjoy a unique volcanic landscape lake. *04:00 – 04:30 AM Continue to a panoramic viewpoint to catch the sunrise. *05:00 – 06:00 AM Enjoy optional coffee or tea (if conditions allow) while admiring the view of the acidic crater lake glowing in the early morning light. *06:00 AM Begin the descent back to basecamp. *07:00 – 07:30 AM Take a short break before heading back. *07:30 – 08:00 AM Depart for Banyuwangi or Bali. *09:00 – 10:00 AM Arrived in Banyuwangi (hotel, Ketapang Port, or train station). *15:00 – 16:30 PM Arrived to your accommodation or drop-off point in Bali Island. *End of service. • -Every friday of the month Mount Ijen closed (Not every friday). -The trek up to and go down the Ijen Crater can be physically challenging, so it is recommended for those with a moderate level of fitness. -Blue Fire is not guaranteed deppend of vulcano activity. -May be that other participants will joined. -The tour starts in the mid night please make sure fit condition. -Bring warm clothing for the early morning weather (Temperature about 8-13 Celsius). -Additional cost 150.000IDR per group pick up if your accommodation in Ijen resort villas, licin area (Banyuwangi). -Kindly contact provider after booking for better communications. -Pick up at Ketapang port the travelers should be ready at 23:00PM.
