Experience the Barong Seraya Budaya dance, a traditional Balinese Barong and Keris dance performance held on the Seraya Budaya stage in Gianyar Regency, Bali. Witness a captivating cultural performance that depicts a fierce battle between Barong and Rangda, showcasing dynamic movements, elaborate costumes, and powerful storytelling. The central and intense segment of the performance is the Keris Dance. In this scene, Rangda casts black magic on the male dancers (representing the warriors), forcing them to commit suicide by stabbing themselves with a keris (traditional dagger). However, Barong, with the help of a priest, casts black magic on the dancers, making them invulnerable to sharp blades. The trance-like state the dancers experience as they turn the daggers on themselves without being harmed is a spectacular and sacred performance with spiritual significance.
