Description

3 Days & 2 Nights Rinjani trek this is the most popular trekking option. You will climb up to the crater, watch the sunset and continue climbing up to the summit for the sunrise. After this, you will climb down to the lake for lunch and enjoy the hot springs for a few minutes. Then, you will climb up again to the other side of the crater for sunset. The next morning, you have 4-5 hours to climb back down to Senaru. Note: This programme is designed especially for experienced trekker. Participants must be in good level of fitness and have several mountain climbs experiences. Day 1 Day 1 - Senaru Village (601M) – Sembalun village(1100M) – Sembalun crater rim (2639M) After an early breakfast we depart Senaru and travel by 4WD vehicle to Sembalun. We register at the Rinjani Trek Centre in Sembalun (1,156 m) before commencing our trek. The trail initially passes through undulating open grasslands as it winds up the mountain. We stop at Pos 1 and Pos 2, pausing for rest breaks and snacks. At Pos 3 (1,800 m) we stop for a longer break for lunch. After lunch we commence the steep climb up the crater rim. We camp the night at Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m) with amazing views of the sunset, Lake Segara Anak, the summit of Mount Rinjani and northern Lombok. Day 2Crater rim (2639)- Segara anak lake and hot spring (2000)-Senaru crater rim (2641) We wake at 2:00 am for a light breakfast before commencing the challenging three hour trek to the summit (3,726 m). We arrive in time for sunrise, the best time to enjoy the spectacular views. Returning to our campsite on the crater rim we pause for a hot breakfast and a rest before continuing our descent into the crater. We stop for lunch on the shore of Lake Segara Anak (2,000 m) where we can swim in the hot springs. After lunch we continue our trek around the lakeshore before commencing our climb out of the crater. The trail is steep and rocky and passes through dense forest. At the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m) we stop for dinner and camp for the night. The crater rim offers views across the lake back toward the summit and a good vantage point of Gunung Baru, the small volcanic cone within the crater of Mount Rinjani. Mount Agung in Bali and the Gili Islands can also be seen from here. Day 3Rinjani trek, Senaru crater rim (2641m) – Senaru village (601 After breakfast with a beautiful sunrise, we will leave Mount Rinjani descend to Senaru village through the rainforest, It takes 5 hours and we will take lunch along the way. Arrive at Lombok Volcano Trekking office in Senaru village, pick up the rest of your lagguges and our driver will take you to your next destination.

• Please be aware that this is a challenging mountain that requires thorough preparation: research on routes and rules, physical training and health checks, standard equipment (thick jacket, sleeping bag, trekking shoes), online reservation via eRinjani but we will register your national park fee, and respect nature and local customs, don't forget to bring a trash bag, and it is highly recommended to use a porter/guide if you are a beginner due to the extreme weather and steep terrain.
