Description

Day 1: Hike to Setampol Crater Rim After an early breakfast at your hotel, get picked up and taken to the trailhead, a 30-minute drive. Register at Bayan Village head office and start your journey through the jungle. Along the way, see a variety of local agricultural plantations such as coffee, vanilla, and clove trees. After a 30-minute walk, reach the Jebak Gawah (Jungle Gate) at Post 1, which is at an altitude of 867 meters above sea level. From Post 1, walk for around 2 hours to reach Post 2 (1,445 meters above sea level). Take a 20-minute rest before continuing to Post 3 (2,134 meters above sea level), a 2.5-hour walk. Reach Post 3 during lunchtime and take a 1.5-hour lunch break. Afterward, continue walking up to the campsite at Setampol Crater Rim (2,700 meters above sea level), a 1.5-hour walk. Arrive at the campsite at around 4:00 PM and set up your tent for the night. From the campsite, walk 10 minutes to the photo spot at the top. Enjoy a stunning sunset, with views of Mount Rinjani Crater Lake and Mount Agung in Bali on the west coast. After sunset, return to the campsite for dinner and sleep. Day 2: Return to Senaru Village Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise and the colorful Mount Rinjani water lake. Have breakfast, then leave the campsite and walk back down to the exit gate, a 5-hour journey. Lunch will be prepared on the way down. Complete your tour at around 12:30 PM and get picked up and transferred back to your hotel.
