Description
Start your journey in the early morning with a scenic ride to the jeep basecamp at the foot of Mount Batur. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome with a hot drink and light snacks before setting off on your sunrise adventure.
Hop into a 4WD jeep and ascend to the sunrise viewpoint, located about three-quarters up Mount Batur. As the sun rises above the clouds, take in the breathtaking views and enjoy a simple breakfast. Your driver will also assist in capturing stunning photos to remember the moment.
Continue your journey by exploring the black lava field—remnants of Mount Batur’s historic eruption. Along the way, pass by peaceful farmlands and learn about local agricultural life.
End your morning by unwinding in natural hot springs by the lake, surrounded by mountains and tranquil scenery. After a relaxing soak, your driver will take you back to your hotel.

- This is a shared tour; you’ll join a small group of other guests
The sunrise viewpoint can get crowded, especially during weekends and holidays
The tour does not involve hiking—access to the sunrise point is by Jeep
A light breakfast (e.g. wafer, coffee/tea) is provided at the viewpoint
Bring a jacket or sweater—temperatures before sunrise can be cold
Towels are included at the hot springs, please bring your own change of clothes.
Hotel pickup starts around 2:00–3:00 AM depending on your location
The hot springs are public and shared, with basic changing facilities
Not recommended for pregnant travelers or guests with back problems
