Description
Your trip starts at Padangbai Harbor, a small coastal port on Bali’s east coast where travelers gather before heading to the famous Gili Islands. After checking in and receiving your boarding pass, you can relax near the harbor while watching fishing boats and fast ferries come and go.
Once on board, the boat leaves Bali behind and heads across the deep blue waters of the Lombok Strait. Find a seat, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the changing views as Bali slowly disappears on the horizon. On clear days, you may catch sight of Mount Agung rising above the island and the coastline of Lombok in the distance.
As the journey continues, the water becomes brighter and clearer, giving you a first glimpse of the tropical paradise ahead. Approaching Gili Trawangan is often the highlight of the trip, with turquoise seas, white sandy beaches, and rows of beachfront cafés coming into view.
