The experience of sitting high atop an elephant in a teak chair, going through the cool jungle of Taro, feeling like the Maharaja of Jaipur, is an experience you will not easily forget. If you are coming from halfway across the globe, you will expect at least one out-of-this-world adventure, and you will find it at Elephant Safari Park, near Ubud.
Displays of elephant intelligence and their capabilities can be viewed at the Park Arena and elephants can also be seen painting at selected times daily. Kids are allowed to wash and feed their new-found friends, under supervision of the mahouts. The acclaimed Elephant Safari Park is not only a sanctuary for 27 of this protected and endangered species of Sumatran pachyderms, but is a total elephant experience. All the elephants at the park were rescued from deforestation of jungles in Central & Southern Sumatra. You will be moved by the friendly demeanour and extraordinary talents of these gentle giants. The park's facilities include a trail for the elephants to give rides, a restaurant, a research laboratory, a small botanical garden, and a lodge for overnight guests.
Imagine being able to slide right onto the back of your own personal elephant 'chauffeur' for trips through the surrounding forest or a lift to the open-air main restaurant. Better still, imagine being fetched from your lodge by an elephant taxi and taken to your Balinese wedding in the Park.
Weddings and other occasions are arranged by our staff at Elephant Safari Park Lodge, from minister to wedding ceremony and reception. You could even stay on for at least the first nights of your honeymoon. We will make you welcome in our Honeymoon Suite, with spa and massage facilities laid on.
