Description
Day 1: Yogyakarta Arrival & Temples
Arrive in Yogyakarta and visit the Hindu temple of Prambanan. Transfer to your hotel near Borobudur.
Day 2: Borobudur & Cultural Tour
Catch the early sunrise over Borobudur from Setumbu Hill. Tour the Borobudur temple and explore Yogyakarta city highlights like the Sultan's Palace (Kraton) and Taman Sari Water Castle. Transfer to your hotel in the city of Yogyakarta.
Day 3: Train to Surabaya & Mount Bromo
Take an executive morning train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya. Drive by private car from Surabaya to the Mount Bromo Tengger region. Check into a local hotel to rest before midnight.
Day 4: Mount Bromo Sunrise & Crater - Onward to Ijen
Take a 4WD jeep to a viewpoint (like Kingkong Hill) for the sunrise over Mount Bromo. Walk across the sea of sand and climb the stairs to the active Bromo crater. Drive eastward toward Banyuwangi or Bondowoso near Ijen, and check into the hotel.
Day 5: Ijen Crater Blue Fire & Lake - Head to Banyuwangi
Start midnight trekking up Ijen Crater to see the famous Blue Fire and turquoise acidic crater lake. Witness the local sulfur miners at work. Drive to Banyuwangi and visit Baluran National Park. Next, continue to visit Tabuhan Island. Return and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay in Banyuwangi.
Day 6: Transfer to Bali
Take the short ferry from Ketapang (Java) to Gilimanuk (Bali). Drop-off at your final hotel in Bali.
