Travel across Java in comfort by train, one of the best ways to experience the island’s beautiful landscapes. Modern trains in Indonesia offer a high level of comfort, with clean cabins, air conditioning, spacious seating, and large windows to enjoy the views. Along the way, relax and take in the stunning scenery of rice fields, mountains, small villages, and volcanoes that make Java so unique. Day 1 Begin your journey in Yogyakarta with a scenic train ride across Java Island to East Java. Upon arrival in Surabaya, continue by private car to the Bromo area, where you will spend your first night surrounded by the cool mountain atmosphere. Overnight in the Sukapura area. Day 2 Wake up early for an unforgettable sunrise experience at Mount Bromo. Ride a 4WD jeep across the famous Sea of Sand and enjoy panoramic views of the Tengger Caldera as the sun rises over the volcano. After exploring the crater of Mount Bromo, head back to the hotel to enjoy the breakfast and continue your journey by car to the Ijen area for your second overnight stay. Day 3 On the third day, start Midnight for a guided hike to Ijen Crater. Witness the famous turquoise crater lake and, if conditions allow, see the rare blue fire phenomenon. You will also see local sulfur miners working in this extraordinary volcanic landscape, carrying sulfur from the crater in one of the most unique mining traditions in the world.
