Discover the art of traditional Balinese storytelling in this Wayang shadow puppet making class at WS Art Studio in Ubud.
This experience includes entry access to WS Art Studio, allowing you to take part in an authentic cultural workshop setting.
During this hands-on class, you’ll learn about Wayang puppets, an important part of Balinese heritage used in traditional performances. Guided by experienced local artisans, you’ll be introduced to the basic techniques of shaping, carving, and decorating a Wayang shadow puppet.
All materials and tools are provided, so you can focus on the creative process. Step by step, you’ll design and complete your own puppet while learning about the symbolism and craftsmanship behind this traditional art form.
