Bintang Ubud

A relatively new and modern supermarket that is conveniently positioned 500m south of the Neka Art Museum, and is a short drive from the Pasar Ubud. The area surrounding the store is considerably hilly which favours car users; walking home with a heavy load of shopping would however be great exercise. This is the first and only supermarket in this particular area of Ubud, which has consequently made this region a more desirable place for visitors and locals to reside in. The location is perfect to stop off for replenishment's to and from a day of sightseeing.

Inside you will find a spacious open space with wide aisles and walkways to explore; this is rare for Bali supermarkets which are usually characterised as being cramped and uncomfortable. A variety of food and drink can be bought here including fresh produce and local products. In addition to this merchandise and electrical equipment is on offer, and fortunately there are no cheap and predictable souvenirs that are sold at Bintang. Also on the premises is a book shop next to the entrance of the store, and a secure ATM machine.
