Hardy's Supermarket

A famous supermarket that is located in Sanur in southern Bali and advertised through a yellow advertising board that is hard to miss. The store is expansive and set over three floors. On the ground floor a typical supermarket can be found which is divided into local products, and imported alternatives; try the local products which are delicious and also less expensive. Upstairs is a market style store which sells much of the same items that can be found in the street stalls of Bali, and despite being a supermarket there is still a fair amount of pestering from staff.
Many items can be acquired here including beach attire, clothing, a cheap book store, and a pirated DVD and CD collection. Hardy’s is a decent place to stock up on essentials, or to replace anything that has been left at home. A selection of departing souvenirs can be acquired here including wooden ornaments and silver jewellery. Generally Hardy’s is cheaper than the street prices, and when you get tired of shopping there is a nice café to take the children as a treat. A convenient store to visit; to keep the expenditure to a minimum always purchase local items, western alternatives are considerably more expensive.
