Maidenlove
Bali
Sikiotis studied a BA in Fashion Design in her home of Melbourne, and is from a family of designers. Her grandfather produced shoes for the Australian soldiers whilst her aunt designed her own leather items, this is a promising heritage. After moving to Bali Sikiotis started to produce her own swimwear and leather apparel with her flagship ‘Maidenlove’ store opening in May 2010. The concept was born between her love of the summertime and all things wonderful.
Her collections are playful and exciting, mixing old and new ideas as well as fabrics. Some items are vintage or made with reclaimed materials, such as the wedge-heeled shoes from her summer 2012 collection, with brightly patterned paisley bottoms. Her items also use organic fabrics, as she is aware of her production impact on the environment. Sikiotis’ collections are always embracing the colours and spirit of summertime in Indonesia. Each piece is designed to last a lifetime in its design and its impact on the customer.
The ethos is to love and enjoy life with a positive approach to dressing and creativity. They want all their customers to be inspired by their beautiful products and snap up a little slice of the sunshine in Bali.
