Casa Luna
Bali
Located in the artistic and culturally rich area of Ubud, Casa Luna is a reflection of Indonesia’s rich traditions and culture and impeccable beauty. Run by Janet de Neefe, Casa Luna is one of four properties that include a bakery and two other restaurants. With 20 years of experience, she and her husband make up the dishes served in the restaurants which are inspired by and date back through many generations of her husband’s family.
Setting the tone to your stay is the traditional music soundtrack, or, on occasion, a live band, such as the Rio Sidik Jazz Quartet.
Casa Luna also has a cooking school where students are taught about Balinese cooking, culinary myths and traditions. Here, you can learn lawar, gado gado, green coconut crepes, tempe curry, fragrant yellow rice, chicken satay and much more. There are also gourmet food classes for the more adventurous of chefs.
