Cafe Batu Jimbar

 At this casual and popular sidewalk cafe you can choose from a number of fresh fruit juices, healthy salads and light dishes; the vegetables and herbs are grown at the owner's farm near Bedugul in the mountains of Central Bali. The place is cosy with several red parasols erected at the front of the cafe.

This chic cafe and restaurant is a Sanur favourite, offering decent coffee, gourmet breakfasts and lunches, an array of decadent cakes and sweets, an assortment of colourful gelato along with upmarket Indonesian food including Nasi Campur, Sate and Rijstafel.

Highchairs are available for the littlest patrons, and though there is no kids menu, staff often  whip up special meals for tiny diners. Foodstore next door: gourmet goodies and take home meals.  Sundays the front courtyard full of pretty parasols, transforms into a market where you'll find local organic farmers selling fresh produce and artisans selling their wares: clothes, bags, and jewellery.  A fun environment, and combined with brunch makes for a lovely Sunday family outing in Sanur.
