Kintamani, Mt. Agung, Besakih Temple - 90 mins
Fly to the breathtaking volcanic crater of Mt. Batur via the famous Kuta Beach coastline and Tanah Lot temple on the West coast, reaching Mt. Batur volcano after 30 minutes. The Batur crater is the remains of a huge explosion that occurred thousands of years ago. Bali's largest lake is situated within a crater, next to a younger active volcano which is constantly recreating itself in eruptions of ash and rock. Explore this sometimes-smoking volcano by circling the crater. The return journey to the Heliport takes us via Ubud village over river gorges and beautiful rice fields.
Proceeding East fly past Mt. Abang, reaching Besakih Temple, Bali's biggest temple complex. The Helicopter now starts to climb to an astonishing 11,000ft, for you to view the crater of Mt. Agung. Upon reaching the top, circle the crater and then start to descend towards Besakih Temple at the foot of the mountain. In the distance Mt. Rinjani on the neighbouring island of Lombok is visible on a clear day. On the return journey the route takes you via the East coast over the beaches of Sanur and finally over Benoa Harbour and the Heliport. US$3,593.
Air Bali also offers one-way flights to Gili Trawangan, every Friday and Sunday, taking just 45 minutes, and also to Senggigi, Lombok on request.
