Pan-Asian
Artistic Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali, and Three Monkeys is one of its most treasured restaurants, with its blend of contemporary gourmet cuisine, decadent desserts and cutting edge art exhibitions. The menu is globally inspired; Chef Kali Sary took hand written recipes from the Greek isles, fresh seafood cooking from great grandmother in Sardinia, where she mastered the art of Italian cooking, Perth Australia, Double Six Night Club Seminyak and a host of eating houses in Europe. The resulting menu is a new mix of Mediterranean and Asian flavours.
Seat yourself at the front and enjoy views over the bustling sidewalk, or soak up the atmosphere on the terrace where lazy lunches lead to candle-light dinners.
Elegant parfaits, home baked pastries and special coffees make the breakfast menu. Lunch on wholesome wraps, crispy baguettes, and wood fired pizza, peanut crusted prawns with green mango salsa, spanakopita, and fresh organic salads. Balinese specials such as smoked organic chicken, sate lilit, char-grilled Australian Angus sirloin steak or vegetable and haloumi salad are some additions. Try a dessert of chocolate hazelnut pate served with vanilla ice cream and slices of perfectly ripe mango, or giant lemon cupcake layered with dollops of cream and plump fresh strawberries.
