Asian Restaurants in Bali

Bali’s food scene is full of surprises, and Asian restaurants stand out with flavors that go way beyond just Indonesian. I’m not just talking about the typical Nasi Goreng here. You can find everything from spicy Thai curries in Seminyak to comforting Japanese ramen bowls in Canggu.

One of my favorite hidden spots is Warung Dapur Asia in Sanur, where the Vietnamese pho is cooked fresh every morning. It’s by no means flashy, but it hits the spot after a hot day on the beach. And if you head to Ubud, there’s a small family-run Malaysian joint called Laksa House that makes the most authentic laksa you didn’t know you needed. Pro tip: try their homemade sambal,it’s a game changer.

But don’t get me wrong, some places mix things up. Like in Seminyak, there’s this tiny noodle bar called Mie-Mie that serves comfort food from across Asia with a local twist. It’s almost like the owner traveled and collected these recipes , in a good way. So I’d say, if you have a craving for Asian flavors beyond Bali’s staples, just wander around the neighborhoods mentioned and you’ll find spots locals swear by. And don’t be shy to ask for recommendations,it’s how I discovered some of my favorite places.
