Potato Head Beach Club
One of the undoubted highlights of the series of Sun Down Circle events at Potato Head Beach Club since its conception was SDC#008 with King Britt on the Sun Deck last year. Almost a year to the day since he played that show, we felt the time was right to bring the man back and this time give him a bigger stage to perfom on, to allow him to demonstrate to a larger audience what makes him a giant amongst men when it comes to DJ'ing and music in general. Supporting King Britt we continue the theme of the last event by giving one of the up and coming stars from Melbourne a slot with Myles Mac.
KING BRITT:
Through his vast experience as a DJ, producer and label boss his knowledge and collection of music is second to none and allows him to give both depth and a sonic texture to his sets as he effortlessly crosses genres while always maintaining that essential vibe that keeps you on the dancefloor eagerly anticipating his next move.
The first DJ to be awarded the prestigous Pew Fellowship grant in the US and also a Creative Cultural ambassador for his hometown of Philidelphia, this mans musical prowess has gained him international recognition. Wether working with Digable Planets and Josh WInk, creating the legendary Sylk130 Colllective, remixing Miles Davis or producing for Strictly Rythmn or exploring afro-sonic musical possibilities with his Hyperdub released, Fhloston Paradigm project, this man is respected by many and is a huge booking for Bali, Sun Down Circle and a guaranteed block rocker on the lawn on Saturday 25th June.
